Clonebased exists because the gap between “a creator wants their own AI” and “their students actually use one” is wider than it should be.

The problem

Most creators who sell a course, a coaching programme or a library of SOPs want their own AI by now — a chat that answers their students from the material, in their voice. Most of them can't build one. Meanwhile, the “Builder” market — people who want to make money with AI — keeps looking for something real to sell. The bottleneck isn't demand. It's how long it takes to actually deliver something a creator wants to pay for.

Built by hand, a clone means pulling every transcript, mapping the course, tuning a voice until it sounds like them, building the site and setting up a login for every student. And $1,000+ a month is a hard thing to ask for on a promise. Nobody can afford to build all of that for a creator who might say no.

The fix

Clonebased lets a Builder paste a creator's YouTube link and get a working AI clone of them in minutes — their voice, their knowledge, a site branded to them. The Builder sends it to the creator as proof: “I already built you this. Try it.” When the creator says yes, the Builder adds their course material, publishes the clone on their domain and hands out logins to their paying students. The Builder sets the price and keeps what they charge. Clonebased is paid by the Builder alone, $79 a month — creators and students never pay us. Everyone's incentive lines up.

Who built it

Clonebased is a product of ApeTec Ltd, a UK limited company (registered in England and Wales, company number 17065917). It's a small team focused on the product, not on growth-hacking or fundraising, and the product is built to answer its own questions.

What Clonebased is not

Clonebased is not a chatbot builder — not a blank box of prompts, settings and integrations that takes a weekend to learn. It is not a voice-cloning or deepfake service either: a clone answers in writing, from the creator's own videos and course material. Clonebased is for Builders who want to ship fast and sell fast — the work that makes a clone worth paying for is done before they paste the link.
